For our latest DT project, Sycamore class have been busy constructing piers that Michael (the main character from our class novel, Kensuke’s Kingdom) could fish on without getting stung by the jellyfish in the shallow waters below.

We split into seven groups and made one pier per team:

Each pier had to be able to:
Hold 1kg,
Look aesthetically pleasing,
Be 30cm long,
The teams could get up to 10 points in each category depending on how well they did that job, bonus points for teamwork.
